OVERVIEW:
The Ghana Israel Business Chamber (GIBC) in partnership with the Trade and Economic Mission of Israel in Ghana will hold the “Cybersecurity Professional Update Workshop 2.0” on the 7th July, 2021.
The workshop will be a hybrid event offering CISOs, CEOs, policymakers, and leading Info-Sec professionals across West Africa the opportunity to learn from some of Israel’s leading cybersecurity experts and become exposed to the most relevant cybersecurity offerings within Israel’s Cybersecurity Industry.

The event will also be platform to discuss some of the new threats facing the world and offer a peek into the future of cybersecurity and cyber-fraud prevention. It will feature a B2B segment aimed at fostering partnership between Israeli firms and organisations in the West African sub-region for Israeli cybersecurity firms.

As organizations become increasingly reliant on digital technologies to carry out important internal processes, interact among themselves and their customers and store information, the challenge of protecting digital assets from attacks is currently one of the topmost challenges of our time.

In Africa, the COVID-19 Pandemic has accelerated processes that were already in motion towards a more digitized economy.
Amidst these new opportunities however, there is a crucial need to augment cybersecurity capacities and bring the cyber-preparedness of African firms to global standards.
The need for enhanced cybersecurity across board in Africa is even more essential considering the inter-connectedness of the global economy.
